Critique

This was the setup for my crit, however during the actual crit it was moved to the centre of the room in order for the audience to engage with it better.

Infrastructure- I could think about the ways in which we are wrapped by plumbing, it keeps a room dry while providing this essential substance. Other hidden movements like electricity, fibre optics, it could be hidden in plain site in a corner with more steam coming out of it

the process of distilling water becomes really interesting when one considers the relation of cleaning and septic sytems, as clean water enters one end creating more clean water, how can this be changed?

can this be automated? self preserving cycle

mapping water, through architecture and physical existance but also the deteriation which it can cause over time, erosion, mold, expansion, the constant changing of temperatures. Looking at its secondary presence, looking at droplets left on counters and dripped around the kettle, where it becomes messy, unintentional and a tracking of someones path.

mold

clear, could I use clear hoses? how could I make the water move by itself?

Opaque, having parts hidden does help

acetate sheets, printing and collecting, mold growth, piping and maps, becomes an image of society, plumbing was a defining contributor to social growth in roman times, copper pipes were used originally, could this be useful?

attached to the wood, it would be more effective attached to the space, coud I make this freestanding?

plumbing

model of something

yearns for a larger scale, can I make it a part of the wall? does steam have to be involved, how else can I collect condensation?
